Has anybody used one?
I'm thinking of loading one up with £x000 to go to Cyprus in a months time to pay a few things off my wedding.
The euro rate is 1.31 at the money if putting money onto the card where if I changed some £ at the moment at high street shops i'd only get 1.26

If anybody could recommend any places where I could change sterling for euro cash at a rate close to 1.31 i'd appreciate it smile

We use FairFx and have saved a lot of money with them over the years.

I have a Revolut card and it has been excellent. Good exchange rate and responsive consumer service. Works fine everywhere I have travelled (a lot in Asia). I think there is a £500 limit on cash withdrawals in any one day. Overall highly recommended.

Just got one to use in Rhodes. The UX of their app is great!

Thought the cash withdrawal (Free) limit was £500 a month not a day though.

Thanks for the replies all. I will go ahead and order one then so me and the Mrs have one each.
I think the £500 withdrawal limit is monthly without a fee. So with 2 cards we will have £1000.

Only problem we had was using it to purchase a meal in a San Francisco restaurant. This was because they pre-authorised the meal amount before we'd added the tip and confirmed the transaction, which meant the pre-authorised amount was on hold and stopped us accessing that amount until it was released (this was done two weeks later and the day before we were due to leave for home).

Other than that it's a great card with the best exchange rates....just avoid using in restaurants

Thats a good point - you have to be super careful with pre-auth on a pre-pay card as irritatingly it takes a lot longer to clear, just incase!
