My gran has some sterling travelers cheques and wants to cash then butt they are about 2+ years old.

Anything she can do?

In that case they are probably stuffed, likely that there is some validity period in the Ts and Cs. frown

HSBC stopped doing anything with traveller's cheques a while ago. Take them somewhere else.

Ah, sorry. Apologies for my 'stating the bleeding obvious' tone then. This sounds like pretty sharp practice from HSBC. Do the actual cheques/associated paperwork have a validity date on them? If not it has to be worth an argument.

As B&C says - you'll have to cash them somewhere else. It isnt as if you've lost the lot - you'll just have to pay whatever fee another comapny charges
