Hi

How easy would this be?
Do you need brackets made up or would it be a straight fit?
Would I need new discs if so would they fit?
Many thanks

PCD is the same so front disks will fit. Not sure on rear drums working.

Calipers will need a bracket most certainly. But that should be easy enough.

Go for the Cadillac kit from the states. So much cheaper, you can buy new 4 pots for $140 or the big 6 pots for $300ish even from Amazon, or go used a bit cheaper
Everything then bolts on, the adapter kit isnt much either

Flange is a different diameter though, so VXR8 discs would need machining.

A CV8 has been converted to VXR8 calipers before, and they still fitted under 18" CV8 wheels. IIRC it was a mix of Range Rover and BMW discs used.

With the brackets from Bohnman:
For the fronts with the 6 pistons you use G8 GXP/Camaro SS disc.
For the rear you use the C6 Z06/Grand Sport disc.
You will have to widened the hub hole on the disc by a few mm.
The Monaro/GTO hubs are larger than the Vettes, G8/Camaro.

If you have any questions just ask me. smile
I put the CTS-V 6 piston front with 4 piston rear years ago on my GTO.
Also CTS-V 6 piston brakes are the same as the ZL1 Camaro just a different color.
You will need to change you brake lines to the 04 GTO ones, because they are longer.
Get all new stainless steel brake lines for an 04 GTO and fresh fluid.

I've got db9 calipers on mine
As long as they're radial mount then they're not that difficult to make fit.
I got custom brackets made up and used BMW 550 discs which are 350mm and readily available

I had a quick look when he said that and its amazing what you can pick up for 500-700 quid, made me wonder if some of the Audi 6 or 8 pot Brembos could be made to fit as they're not that expensive either...
