Hi
Booked a holuday flight package vua expedia.
Hotel room misrepresented so tried to cancel.
Expedia will not cancel the flughts as non refundable.
I paud in one go and they have the flight hotel described as packageg etc.a discount for buying both.
They do not show a breakdown in price for each. Just a final total.
In their tems they say they are just an agent for the airlune.
But they call the deals a package.

Will section 75 work with expedua for thus?

Guess it depends how badly the hotel room was misrepresented. You could call your CC company and ask for their opinion; if you can prove your case maybe you can claim a proportion back. When I had to do a Section 75 mine were very helpful.

NB I recall there are two avenues to a reclaim, one is fairly short and sweet, the other gives the defendant 45 days to reply, and then they judge it a bit like Small Claims.

Expedia said they will refund hotel but not flights.
Holiday was booked for next year.
I double checked hotel website and phone dhotel.
I paid for bigger room, but they are all same size.
Paid for room with 2 sofa beds and 3 seperate areas/rooms.
Hotel website says 1 sofa bed and 2 areas.
Pita...so tired and just want to cancel it all.

They will argue that tbey just display flights and are an agent which avoids section 75.

But they don't show seperate prices and call them packages so are not just an agent? So section 72?

That may be the limit of their liability so you may have to accept and just find another hotel.

I haven't met Section 72; call your CC company for advice.

Section 75....can claim against credit card comoany for breach of contract etc. They have equal liability as they provided credit.

Refundung hotel only us luke accepting car us faulty and allowung one to return the enhune only.
