Massively unprofessional to publicise all that IMO. I know he's criticised you and you want to defend yourself but putting that out in public is a disgrace.
I have to say this was my first thought too. There is also an implied threat about reason for refusal that I found very worrying.

No axe to grind here, but not sure I would have discussed anything about my clients on a public forum, regardless of the situation.

I'll chime in here too. Sarnie was initially very helpful when dealing with me, with all the usual back and forth, answering even when on holiday, etc. Unfortunately my first application through Sarnie wasn't successful (after initially paying his fee).

I elected to carry on, trying again but I did notice that the service level did drop off somewhat and it became apparent that it just wasn't going to work out as demands were getting a bit out of touch with what was originally intended. It kind of dropped off after that and since time was of the essence, I went to someone else. I managed to sort everything out very rapidly through someone else.

I'll have to be honest in that I haven't spoken to Sarnie since then but it can work out that you can use his services, pay the fee and be unsuccessful.

I'll reply to this as I've just used sarnie for my mortgage application. He did reply while he was on holiday and I did get some emails during non working hours like he says he does , would I use him again ? 100% yes. He takes all the effort out of a mortgage application
This.

He didn't say £650k, but it seems his first statement was apt.

You were paying for the application. Just so happened it was successful. Either way you were paying for the application. Or maybe I just got special terms!

I don't really care if people rate the service they have been given or not. If you have a problem then you need to take it up directly with the person involved, in private. Arguing the toss on a public forum casts nobody in a favourable light. I started this thread to ask for some help and advice. I think that it has deviated far from that and had probably run its course. Thanks to those that contributed helpful advice.

You sound like a bell end. Have you got your money back off Liam now?

I bet you've committed some details or lied on your application to your new supplier.

Just look at how many people he's sorted out on here!

For the record, Sarnie got me a mortgage, with a far better rate than I could get on my own, given my circumstances (Low deposit, paying £650 on 1st house still)
First time buyer - Low deposit - £650k for a house in DERBY rofl

Please don't make any more financial decisions without seeking profession help. You need all the help you can get.
I'm not the one who can't get a mortgage due to poor credit score, so I'm sure my financials are in order. ;-)

£650 a month on one house, residential mortgage then another mortgage for another on top 👍

I'll nibble, go on.

My first application in principle was good, then it got canned due to a default on my account that a credit check flagged up. (£9 missed payment 4 year ago).

Not paid anything to Liam yet.....

Default removed off account (cheers O2), then Liam applied for another, got accepted, then I paid the broker fee and the fee for the mortgage on the same day.
