Impact of the US election on the dollar value
Discussion
Anybody have any insight on the value of the dollar post election if it swings either way? I know it could go anywhere - but I would like to know some arguments as to why if possible.
I have a fair amount of money being paid to me from stock options in the US at the end of November which the fluctuation has quite an impact on. Given the dollars strength at the moment it would be a great time for me to cash out. Sadly I cannot until its maturity at the end of November.

The market has priced in the expected result - Clinton by a country mile - so expect a bit of a crash if Trump wins. Either way you'll be no worse off than if the option had matured in early June.
Do you think its largely priced into health related shares as well given Clinton's views on so called 'profiteering'?trickywoo said:

The Democarats traditionally get a lot of money from the investment side of banking, take from that what you will.
With regard to the long overdue quarter %, that's been priced and unpriced a gazillion times, I don't anyone really knows anymore
Instability anywhere will increase the value of the Dollar.
Brexit uncertainty will put pressure on the Pound.
Essentially, for a Sterling person with incoming Dollars you are going to come out smiling.
