Just a bump to this, I have a Z4 3.0 for sale and a guy in Spain wants to buy it. He's going to fly over and drive it back and convert to LHD.
Apparently Z4 3.0s are non existent over there and if they do come up they're big money - having a look even 2.0i versions are selling for €17k!
Has asked many questions, videos etc and sounds legit, especially as he's coming over to drive it back himself.

You are posting this as a satire/ pisstake right?

I sold my RRS Supercharged to a guy from the Congo who wanted me to give him an invoice for £500 more than the agreed price so he could get a few extra quid out of his dad and he would split the £500 with me.

all turned out to be true, the car is now in the Congo.

You'd think so

But with the recent weakness of Sterling, it's worth checking prices in Germany or similar as it could be cost-effective to buy in the UK and convert - our cars here are notoriously cheaper than Europe anyway, without currency variance.

Having sold quite a few RHD Z3's into Europe from the UK myself (pre-Brexit), this wont be a scam.

The buyer may well not realise now that the UK is no longer in the EU, so he will have to pay VAT and duty when he imports into Spain.

That's not the sellers issue, but if the buyer doesn't know this, he'll be in for an expensive shock

In the past I sold a Boxster S to a guy from Germany and a 911 Turbo to a guy in Hong Kong. As previously stated the weak GBP and cheaper cars here can make it viable.

I will hopefully be selling a car later this week to someone from Holland.
He is flying over, then train to local station etc.

DVLA states on DVLA's website that I am am to fill out the Exporting section of V5, keep that bit only and send that section off to DVLA via post. New buyer is handed rest of Logbook.

Does anyone know if this can be done online instead?
I can date and time an invoice/receipt of course but not keen on the liability being 'mine' in the interim period should there be any speeding etc.
