Finance PHers,

I need to move a decent chunk of money from UK to Canada in order to help purchase a house out there. From threads in the Lounge I understand the real pros use locked boxes delivered to random strangers all coordinated from Yahoo accounts but I just don't think I'm quite up to that elite level of international finance yet...

Bank exchange rates are hideous so I've looked at Xendpay, Transferwise, CurrencyFair and HiFX instead. Does anyone know of any other viable alternatives?

I can recommend TorFx also, I have a good friend who works there who may be able to assist. You've mentioned HiFx and they're good also.

3 votes for Transferwise - just started using them, super quick and you get the spot rate minus their fee.
