There is a full discussion thread running on Making Tax Digital running in the News Forum. I'vbe been trying to keep PHers up to date on where the legislation is currently at since January.

There will be a budget in June or July and it is highly likely that this will be included in this Summer Budget.

It's amazing how few people are aware of MTD. The government is acting disgracefully in not making people fully aware of what their plans are.
