I help out with Cadets, and often go away for annual camp / weekends / courses etc. As part of this I have a TA commission, and whilst I dont do it for the money, I am paid a couple of quid by the MoD through the PAYE system for some of the activities.
Someone mentioned that I may be able to claim tax releif on some of my expenses (first aid kit, beers in the mess, sun cream etc). I hadn't considered it before, and TBH it would only be a couple of quid so not worth the effort, but out of curiosity I googled it and couldnt find the awnser. Does anyone on PH know? Sounds like the ki d of thing they would pick up on a SA tax return!
