hi all,

we are trying to emigrate to NZ, as part of the process we are looking at the various pensions that we have in various places.

my wife used to work for Natwest, in 1990 she thinks her pension was moved to Scottish widows, Natwest / RBS have said they have no records, just the date it was moved.

We are contacting Scottish Widows today, but if they don't have it, what can we do to find it?

My wife never throws stuff like that away, but after a recent house move we can't find anything to say who it's with at all.

Any suggestions?

i will, but it just gives contact details of the providers, not a way to find out who holds it.

this is going to be a pain.

Contact The Pensions Advisory Service. They do a lot of casework involving tracing pensions. Be aware that they are not always successful and that what should seem straightforward can take a very long time to resolve. Their services are free.
