The bulk of the claims are for accommodation in London (she's a Scottish MP so doesn't live there), constituency office rent and costs and travel. It's really not duck houses, mock Tudor beams and moat clearing.
What’s the average claim for a South East area MP? Why should they require a second home or travel allowance?http://www.mpsexpenses.info/#!/mp/839

I chose Mhairi Black because of her background not her expenses. To come out of Uni straight in as an MP on £75k was my argument against your claim that you can't just rock up and become an MP. You can.http://www.mpsexpenses.info/#!/mp/839

The published expenses are a little more under control but I'd suggest £50k is a huge amount of taxpayers money. I'd don't believe MP's are poorly paid or downtrodden in any way.
I totally agree the expenses are nothing like the days of house flip, moat cleaning, duck house buying idiots fleecing the taxpayer for every penny they could get.
Pensions for MP's are out of control and nothing like in line with other public servants or the private sector.
