Is the source of funds proof required by solicitors for residential lease extensions?

Baring in mind that the cost of the lesst extension won’t be known at the start of the process.

Yes they should ask that question but the fact that it is a third party isnt necessarily a problem unless tied to a mortgage or similar. Leasehold enfranchisement is complicated so probably worth getting specialist advice.
