My family BUPA policy via my LTD renewal just came through at a whopping 56% increase!

Obviously I'm going to shop around, but 3x questions off the back of a quick google:

How easy is it to port a policy to a new provider to keep coverage / claim history etc?

The time stated to port is 45 days, but my renewal expires in 28 days. Is it simply a case of having no cover during this period or is there a work around?

Quite a few years ago I used a broker on here for a life policy, but can't remember the name. It wasn't sarnie, I used him for mortgage.

Any pointers welcome.

Since I retired early and lost my company's PMI cover I have tried both Usay Direct and Heathcare Clarity.
Year 1 my wife and I ended up with Axa and then Year 2 left hers with them and mine was transferred to Bupa.
All the way through same cover as we had with my ex company.
Both brokers were very helpful.

Ah that's the one! Makes looking though archived inboxes much easier. Thank you!

Give BUPA a ring and see if they can tweak your policy. You`ll probably find you have bolt ons that you dont need which you can dispense with and lower your policy amount. Done this a few times but ultimately you can only do so much.
