A few months ago I bought a bed from eBay. New one with custom sizing. One of the options was to have a central support. This was free, and I opted for it.

Bed gets delivered by their own van, no centre support. The lady I’d placed the order with said she would send one out, nothing arrived so she said she’d send another one out. Basically lied, nothing was ever sent.

I raised a case for £100 with Paypal- original cost of bed was £400 so I thought this wasn’t unreasonable for the faff of constructing a new centre support. Not 100% necessary but makes bed a bit more rigid.

I’ve now had this response. Great! But I have nothing to post back! Unfortunately since it’s not an eBay return as such I can!t speak to them. Any ideas on what best to do?

I guess they want you to post the bed back. No way is anyone going to send you £100.

The quickest and cheapest way to solve the problem is to get a piece of wood and cut it to the right length...!

What a ridiculous comment. Nobody locally would make me a bed, this was a custom one from someone’s local small business.

so custom you didn't get what you wanted and so local you couldn't resolve any issues. Mmmm.

And I'm the one with ridiculous comments.
