t's interesting times! It may mean absolutely nothing, but since they've made a lot of money on their QPP short so far, and are on a reputational high after Gowex, why go back and attack them again unless there's some substance to it?
Guessing you read Gotham's nod to Rob Terry and Quindell in it's follow up on Gowex?http://gothamcityresearch.com/2014/07/07/gotham-ci...
Yup! I think we can probably expect another report in the medium term.
I read the Gowex one too. It was a bit amateurish but obviously made some good points and amounted to a decent critique. I don't think they really had a clue about the actual level of misrepresentation (i.e. 90%), or if they did, they didn't reveal the information that was actually behind it.

I wonder how far QPP's earlier threat of legal action got?

Nasdaq and NYSE really taking a beating today...
Was probably due, bit extended from the 8 and 21 day and also bit of profit taking occurring before earnings season. There is a good chance your FTSE will recoup its current day drop in the last three hours.
Alcoa is influential because it is good guidance re anything made of alooominum

Alcoa, quite an influential share just beat earnings, so when the DOW opens in 40 minutes it will go up.

Hmm not convinced for the rest of the week, although I agree with you maybe we get a bounce today. Lets see if the bears can contain the bounce, we held the 21 day yesterday so thats something, will keep an eye out to see if we can get over 1976 on the S&P. But on the bigger picture quite a few distribution days in the last few sessions. So much for trading without an opinion There is a good chance your FTSE will recoup its current day drop in the last three hours.

Anybody else think HSBC is undervalued at the moment?
Might be wishful thinking on my part...Im looking for a long term stable company which pays a consistent 5% div...this looks like my best option.
I agree, and have put some money where my mouth is. Under 600 right now is very keen pricing I think. Happy to be in there for the longer term.Might be wishful thinking on my part...Im looking for a long term stable company which pays a consistent 5% div...this looks like my best option.

Great bit of news for STG, although very cheap now its just announced a share in a cash producing mine....seeing as its near an all-time low and trending upwards it could rise quite nicely over the next few months
I'm in, although only 100k shares and expect to make a good 30%+ in the next month given the current price and prospects
In on this too... hoping for a quick profit take!I'm in, although only 100k shares and expect to make a good 30%+ in the next month given the current price and prospects
Getting a little bored of waiting on BMN, I suspect a lot of other people will be too so hopefully news will be out soon to prevent jumpers!
Yeah BMN has fizzled out like a wet fart lately, expected with the death of NM and associated public holidays there. I guess with discussions going on with the chinese they can't announce anything until its completed, however an update on the Tin/Phosphates/Lemur coal would be welcome nonetheless!
Needs to be in next week or it'll fall, however it is showing good support between 5.3 & 5.7 currently
I got in at 0.58...very happy so far and they haven't started the gold production yet !
