I'd be tempted to get out at these levels - currently has a market cap greater than Tesco...

Real Mickey Mouse valuation stuff

Tesla $35.3bn
Ford $68.11bn

Can you imagine how many cars Tesla are going to have to sell in 5 year to justify that?
Also although the Tesla product is good, I was really impressed with the test drive in the i8, their competitors are getting there fast

However most of the traders I know have at some stage managed to lose money by trying to short Tesla

Looks promising and with ITG being involved with the iphone 6 it should rise even more hopefully

Yup, it's crazy.

I have a large holding in Amazon - and whilst some argue its valuation is Mickey Mousey - at least it's possible to see the light at the end of the tunnel for it!

I don't think there is any way on Earth that Tesla's can be justified.

Apple taking a beating today. Seems most of the tech stocks look a little tired.

Something to do with Samsungs big release presentation? They dropped shortly after it finished and look to have some seriously nice gear on the way.

Great timing by Samsung just prior to Apples big announcement next week. From what all the rumours are saying, the iPhone 6 may not exactly blow people away.....

I would have thought it is more to do with the iCloud hack?

There wasn't a real reason I think more specifically had to do with an analyst from Pacific crest saying investors should take profit, and warning that he would downgrade the stock after the announcement, cynic in me says there shaking out the weak longs but to some extent everyone more or less knows what to expect from the announcement on Tuesday.

I would have thought Apple making a move into NFC wireless payments should have been a big thing. If they can sort out deals with Visa, Amex etc and then more or less sit in the middle of all these transactions and simply take a % that would be a good stable income.

Gut feeling is Apple will be higher than current price after Tuesday and maybe this turns out to be a buyable dip who knows, might see $92-95 first though.

Even when the iPhone 5S was released there was some disappointment at the lack of wireless payment functionality. As such, I think it will be quite a serious blow if the iPhone 6 does not make head-way in this area. Especially when the competition seem to be gearing up to this. I for one think the iWatch is going to be a more important factor for their growth in already developed markets. I do hope this is announced 9th September.

I'm in already, average price of 240. Yes, I can see it going lower, but they have to react and compete and I think chances are good they will sort their st out. Think will need to hold 6-18 months though. Downside is limited I think, maybe 20% max but who knows.
