frown Hmm! Bought when the CEO left - thinking they were good value at the time.

Think I have a knack for finding duds this year!!

This was released very late Friday.

http://www.digitallook.com/news/rns/22083354-14054...

Effectively re-rated the stocks at 160p? I think thats how it can be read?

Not complaining... That was a nice morning gamble hehe

I would suspect this wont be the last of their problems. There's already a bit of press about issues with the Olympic stadium. That is a project carrying huge risk.

I took it to mean further trouble. It does seem like a rather severe reaction for a company of its size.

UKOG is down 11% today on effectively nothing. Makes me wonder about buying back in albeit with a reduced amount.

Do you think it'll last? There's not much volume, it wouldn't take much for the price to collapse, would it? IT's SP is now above Tesco, yet it's a company that seemingly does nothing!

What does Tesco have to do with anything? SP means bugger all when comparing companies. MCap's/shares issued etc are very different.....

Ill stick around for a bit, see wht happens. Only put a little in so dont mind risking it.

I don't understand this post. Tesco has a far larger market capitalisation.

I'm just scratching my head as to what WRN do exactly to justify a share price higher than a huge company like Tesco. At least you know what Tesco do. WRN is another one of those dodgy looking companies whose website is primarily made up of info about their shareprice!

fk me.

You need to stop investing on your own account.
Seriously.

This comment is infinitely worse than the guy wondering about the news on BBY.

But WRN have far fewer shares in issue than Tesco.

WRN has a vaulation of £7.5 million, Tesco is roughly 16,000 million.

Although one share in WRN maybe more than 1 share in Tesco it doesn't reflect the valuation of the companies.

Share price doesnt mean anything though. Share price x number of shares is what gives you a company value. WRN has a market cap of around £20m.
Tesco's is £15billion!

Not sure what your point is to be honest.

When Apple did a 7 for 1 (I think) stock split earlier this year and their price went from about $700 to $100 do you think the company value crashed?

Do you actually invest with real money? You should probably stop....

Frankly, market cap is also incredibly misleading.
You should really look at enterprise value.
(Or for a retailer: lease-adjusted EV.)

But I am sure Oakey knew that...
