A positive RNS was released. So naturally the SP is going down.
I think you mean an utter bullst RNS has been put out and the price has plummeted!

They have bought a trade show at the Excel in London?! WTF?

GPRO hmm wonder if this turns out to be a blow off top or it just keeps going up forever.

I should have said 'positive'

hehe

Saying that, it's back up again.

I've changed my play on this since last week... I'm 33% up so I have just sold half my position. I've set a stop loss of 75 on the remainder and a sell order on 95.

Worst case I've made 23%, best case I've made 39%

Will I be kicking myself when its $2-300 in a few months? Probably!

Wise move I reckon. Lets see, if it is a blow off top we should close well off the highs and ideally lower than we opened. Current market cap is around $11 billion crazy.

Hmm article just hit the news.

I recollect that you're short, so may the best man win! wink Although I do think it's only going one way... and it's yours!

Moving back to this side of the pond... ASOS has crept back up without causing much of a stir... looks like more than just a dead cat bounce... possibly heading back up to 3-4,000p? Anyone looking at this?

On the subject of DCB's.... Quindell today!

Hah by no means is it an easy short. But long as you don't get left holding the bag, which inevitably a lot of people probably will, although recent pattern is the shorts getting fried.

Just as fyi the CEO has an interview at 6pm could be a sell the news event.

Me, was doing even better earlier today. Certainly hope they do get back to the 3-4000p level smile

You mean to say that Essential Cyclist didn't push the SP to £3?

Afternoon All,

Yeh, pains me to say it but looks like Oakey might have called that one right ;-). Nothing really of interest for me today, took a small position with AAPL last night (long-long....long term) on the basis of iphone release to china on the 10th, Apple Watch release next year and hopefully Apple Pay taking off (this is the biggie for me).

Also bought into Centrica, no particular reason other than I used to work for them and our energy guy at work has a pretty good picture of the UK energy market, again, in for the long haul on this one.

Is the best statement for investing in somewhere ever 'for particular reason other than....'?

Gambling sure - like WRN presumably was yesterday. But IMO you should have lots of reasons for investing somewhere.

I've asked before, but does anyone know any good resources for buying European shares?

For example the equivalent of LSE's live trades, or indeed a broker that offers windowed buy & sell prices, stop losses etc rather than just blind 'best price' execution?

I ask because I want to buy back into Fiat - something I almost understand - after my rather too long and rather too 'exciting' AIM adventures.

I figured someone might pick up on that, so thanks smile.

In reality I did have my reasons and it wasnt so much of a 'blind punt' as I may have inferred, it wasnt.

My sell order triggered and due to a slightly favourable change in the exchange rate, all in all I've made 40% after my broker fees. I will probably be crying if this keeps going, but sometimes you just have to take your profits and run.

Nice trade, I'm increasing my short position currently sitting at about 3000 shares short. Will add if we get to $100 today.

Totally agree after a run like that take all/some profits, as the saying goes bulls make money, bears make money but pigs get slaughtered.

Bloody hard to come by. Borrow rate is about 100-120% some where around $120 a night to hold short 1000 shares. I'm with Interactive brokers which currently is also showing nothing available to short. I guess you could try spread betting or cfd's.

Edit did you mean in general or just gpro?

Just looked it up bit surprised seems IB is the only route outside of going with US based brokers or the spread betting/ cfd route. Unless anyone else knows another uk based broker that allows it.
