No - it's a worse deal for QPP shareholders. They just sold £96m of profits at £637m rather than £82.5m. The multiple is worse.

Stocks up though - naturally.
True - if it goes through. No closer to making any sense though, unfortunately.

There was someone posting on LSE prior to the weekend that there'd be an RNS on Monday relating to the S&G deal and lo and behold there was and the price hit 180p before doing it's usual of going back down. Insider trading?

There has been lots of that going on during the whole of QPP's listed life.

The founders are from the dot com era when it was normal practice to leak info to certain BB posters who then fluffed up the price and came out looking like heros.

Back in 2001 there were around a dozen BB posters who were basically known to be 'for hire' whe it came to creating a retail buying frenzy around RNS flow.

Such practices don't go away, merely the players change. But, I did note that one of the old players now runs a financial website of sorts.

Re mentions above on the industrial deafness stuff, my quick scan of the RNS suggested to me that that whole side was stripped out from the deal and valued at zero. Ie the 50:50 split on future revenues. Ie it's worthless.

The shares I currently hold

Diamondcorp - Great potential currently at 9 pence, have had for around a year up from 5 pence, great history behind the mine, owned by de beers who closed it in the 1930s in the great depression, around 2000 was told by south Africa to mine it or loose it, due to change in strategy there they kept the much large mine down the road which now has 6 years left. Lace mine has a rough life span of 25 years, and is famed for its coloured stones.
Also have signed a deal with tiffany diamonds for offtake, and recently secured funding on potential diamond
sales to start production as quickly as possible. ahead of target to start production in q2.

IMO massively undervalued for where they are at, and the potential profits or takeover from DeBeers as there mine down the road has less than 6 years left.

Quadrise fuels - produce MSAR fuel for shipping, refining, and power generation markets. immense potential are working with Maersk, akzo nobel, Saudi Aramco and other huge companies. Have proved the fuel works after intensive trials, only need contracts signed with refiner for lono from engine manufacturers and agreement for trial in ksa for share to go up big.

IMO have invested heavily in this, have a very strong view this will succeed, it either will or wont if it does it is a will be huge and change the industry, have friends who are in the shipping industry who think its toss a coin mega company or nothing Same again great story behind the company, directors have had major success with buy out of nautical petroleum. director has the pedigree of being president of certain divisions of shell. Currently down quite bit but delays, currenty oil prices caused oil companies to put a hold on decisions oil is starting to go back up so hopefully progress can now proceed

AFC Energy - another in the alternative fuel market, fuel cell technology, roman ambroavich, Eugene Shvidler own large holdings, signed 2 billion contract more to come,

IMO great potential, already up over 100% bought at 12p now around 25p

Daniel Stewart Securities - don't know too much about this other than rob terry is suddenly acquiring huge amounts of shares, the reason I don't know but the man turned quindell into a £6 share. Quindell selling off parts of business, suspending trades wed, something's happening.

all on the aim i know but that's where the real money is made or lost. Boom or bust. Would be interesting to hear other peoples opinions.

Your DAN shares - and anything involving Terry - are a liability, as evidenced by the recent 50ish percent daily moves. You might win but it's a gamble.

AIM will almost certainly lose you money overall too. I haven't looked at the history of each of your shares but I bet the long term trend is downwards in most.

It's probably not funny if you have to explain it, but...

Basically there seems to have been some confusion over when it was going ex-div and the generality of ex-div was talked about on here.

The company had to make a statement about it.

My (wry) laughter was caught up in the "you just can't predict how dumb the market can be" moment....!

I hold ALBA which has a 6.5% stake in Horse Hill - Off radar at the moment and still relatively cheap to buy compared to how much UKOG has risen today!

ETA - UKOG has 20% of Horse Hill and a MCAP of c£75m, ALBA has 6.5% with MCAP of c£5m

Nice to see one of these smaller companies make a find and go on the run!

Sadly, it doesn't happen enough!

Loads of people buying in now once the main run has already happened. Anyone think they may have further to go?

I think my shares in Boohoo will have doubled in a year, they seem to be a solid company with some good growth, as well as expanding into the US. (Similar to ASOS on a smaller scale for now).

Taylor Wimpey shares have been doing well, ex div with div of 1.32p tomorrow, then about 7.5pish in a months time for special div.
