Mrs is now down to 17K holdings - I'm on 30k
Mrs = zero
Me = £25
= £500 in 10 months
First time of nothing for either of us this month.

Our holdings will start being reduced now (and may even be completely depleted by the end of the month) as the builder has started on our extension.
Mrs £17k holdings - I'm now on £20k

Mrs win = 2 x £25
My win = 1 x £25
= £575 in a year.

Just checked Ernie, and another £25 this month, and 2 x £25 in Feb on £20k.

I've now won £450 since opening an account back in 2011.

Seriously?
Yeah? Can one account win more than one prize each month? I have no idea. I feel blessed if I win a single £25 prize.

Edit: haha, I guess I'm so used to not winning it'd slipped my mind each bond meant a chance of winning and that people could have multiple prizes each month.

Yes, each individual bond in your holding/account has an equal chance of winning in the same way as if you had a fistful of national lottery tickets each one could win something.

Just sold some with the intention of buying another lump to see if that helps.
All that achieves is to exclude that batch that you sell and re-purchase from the draw for a month, as new bonds don't go in the first draw after purchase.

Indeed - but... tin foil hats at the ready: I'm sure others will also have noticed, you do tend to collect a few prizes just after buying a new batch....

...All just a coincidence I'm sure paperbag

Another measly £25 this month. Lucky if I am getting 1% interest this year.

Bought my nephew £100 worth when he was born 5 years ago.

The little chap just won £25. He was excited beyond belief!

Pretty good going, the odds are tiny on winning anything with £100!

Agreed.

He's visiting at the weekend, we're going to sensibly invest it all in Lego and biscuits.

I did the same for each of mine. One has won £100 and two have had £50 I think. Pretty pleased with that!

I'm getting a bit fed up with an oh so smug "sorry you didn't win good luck next month" message

Really, I've had premium bonds for 58 years and never won anything despite buying a new batch a year ago.

You've held premium bonds for 58 years and never won a bean!? I'm not having that.
I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to hold (a substantial) amount in PB and leave it there if they hadn't won for 6 years, never mind 60.
Hope it's not a large amount that you could have bought a couple of houses with 58 years ago and been letting them out ever since...

BTW - If it's a tenner, ignore all that!

You have to be pretty unlucky to not win anything in 58 years?

I've only had money in them for around 15months and I've won £200ish. Nothing this month though.
