You've held premium bonds for 58 years and never won a bean!? I'm not having that.
I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to hold (a substantial) amount in PB and leave it there if they hadn't won for 6 years, never mind 60.
Hope it's not a large amount that you could have bought a couple of houses with 58 years ago and been letting them out ever since...
BTW - If it's a tenner, ignore all that!
£1 bought when I was born, £10 added in 1970, £2000 a year ago, nothing zippo fk all. MiL has £5k and wins about £200 a yearI can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to hold (a substantial) amount in PB and leave it there if they hadn't won for 6 years, never mind 60.

Another £50 for me this month.
I've just looked back at my history and an average of £20k is netting me £400 PA. Would an ISA return so much?
It's 'only' 2% tax-free return. Then again I think some of us treat the P.B. as a bit of fun, hoping for the big prizes.I've just looked back at my history and an average of £20k is netting me £400 PA. Would an ISA return so much?
Still, better than mine; haven't won anything in the last 12 months.

Well it's 2% so it's just about possible if you know where to look. My current account pays more than that after tax and my stocks and shares ISA has earned about 8% PA average over the last ten years although the latter is more akin to sticking a pin on the racing pages of a newspaper.I've just looked back at my history and an average of £20k is netting me £400 PA. What day of the month do you know if you've won anything?

It depends how you want to know, the letter arrives about two weeks after, If you log on you can see now. What day of the month do you know if you've won anything?
When logging on don't necessarily look for winnings (it doesn't get updated very quickly), but look at your Bond history and you will see it there.
2x£25 on 16k for me
Was recently moaning about not winning anything for months and started calculating time VS other investments but Premium bonds still winning.
Think in total to date i have won about £450, But that was starting from about £1500 then adding more and more over the last 2 years or so.
