This may have been covered already but has anyone ever won more than £100? I have won most months this year but always £25 or multiples of.

Has anyone on here ever won a big amount? not a friend of a friend but yourself personally?
I bought £500 worth for my daughter, and she won £3k in the first month or two. Then nothing for 10 years, and then this month got £25. My other daughter also got £500 worth, 8 years ago, and has never won a thing.

Downloaded the prize checker app - very good, much easier than pissing about on the website etc.

Anyway - I've upped my holding and a mixed result - 4 x £25 on £48k and then 1 x £25 on £27k in the other one. It feels nice to win a bit but I suppose expectations need to be adjusted with increased holding.

2 x £25 this month. Not bad for the year so far.

£22K - The bond that won was part of a block purchased in 2008

Best win evah! I've had a few £100s over the years, but only £25s since the £25 prize was introduced. Funny that...

The famine has ended with a £25 win after 3 months in the desert. Wife has won £25 too. I'm not doing as well as last year when 10 out of 12 months produced wins.

Is it just me, or does the "Apply Online" button not work on the NSandI website?

Want to apply without spending all day on the phone.

I think there's something broken there - I can't imagine it's supposed to open the page with all the Ts and Cs displayed either. Neither button works for me, in IE or chrome.

Neither of us have won for 2 months. About £22k each. We have won more in the lottery this year....things have to look up soon!
Ah, but how does it stack up when you take into account how much you've spent on the lottery tickets? Still higher?

Well another £25 cheque today.

We do the lottery for fun........just in case

Generally we live a very sensible life with a surplus each month so a lottery flutter is well within means

Works for me but only in IE11
It overlays another window over the main one.

Doesn't do jack in Chrome though.

Need to sack their no doubt expensive web site agency.

I wasn't suggesting otherwise, just wondered where it does work better once you factor in that you never lose your "stake" in PB compared to Lottery. I stopped doing the Lottery when it went up to £2, I wouldn't fancy adding up how much I spent compared to how much I won, prior to that. My PBs are just for fun, just in case - sure, I could get a better return than I've been getting (~.95% AER) but not anywhere where there's a remote chance of a £1m prize.

I haven't done the maths. Nevertheless I can be certain that if I take into account the cost of the lottery tickets to determine my gain it will be negative ie a loss. My PBs retain their face value for ever. So with inflation being so low at the moment it would make sense to ditch the lottery a buy more PBs.

But it would also make sense to sell my car and use my Wife's Mini and when that wasn't suitable hire a car...but I can only take good sense so far.

I know it's not rational but .... I think I'll carry on as now.

35 years ago I watched every penny.... it stood me in good stead. I now feel comfortable in having fun with my pile of pennies I worked so hard for.

2 x £25 this month takes me up to 1% return since I invested 5 months ago. Not too shabby really, it's a decent meal out for two for free!
