That was lucky.
Wowsers.
Did we ever determine that any of us had actually met someone that had more than a 10K prize though?

After a couple of months without anything we managed to bag a couple of £25's this month

In the last twelve months, I don't think my £5k has won anything. I feel a bit silly.

Nothing now for 2 months which is a record. Usually win every month. May'be a big win due to compensate?

Isn't it amazing how in this thing with random prizes, some people get lucky while others get unlucky? Would never have expect it myself.

Just to clarify this ISNT my win, I dont live in Cumbria for a start and have never won over £100 as a single cheque. I copied it over to show there are some lucky buggers around

....I forgot that I changed my online detais a while ago. So I got an email urging me to check out the important message I'd been sent about my bonds, which was exciting.

Bugger. £25 for me this month.

I don't get those e.mails ? I have to go and check on line with my holders number.
How did you sign up for it?

With great difficulty.

You need to be registered for online & telephone. They will then send you a password in the post. You can then go to your preferences and choose to be notified by email and have the funds paid direct into you account, instead of by Cheque.

My bank is an hour round trip away, so it certainly makes it more convenient....not that I need to go very often (3 x £25 since December, on £30k of course as its PistonHeads and all that)

I had some premium bonds bought for me at my christening, about 28 years ago! Only 35 quids worth but they were a gift. I have never won a penny. Is this normal? I appreciate I only own a small amount but nearly 30 years with no return is a bad investment right?

Would I be better cashing them in and buying 35 lottery tickets?

I would have thought thats about right im sure my dad has had £100's worth for 30 years and not won a bean. When you think people have 20,000 tickets and only win £25 a couple of times a year and you have 35 the chances of winning are minute. Peobably better with 35 lotto tickets.

It's all about chance, so you'll never know! And, for both, the winners rely on a vast mass of losers. (Apologies for stating the obvious.)

Thinking laterally, wouldn't it make a nice inheritance gift (token, perhaps, but meaningful) to pass these PBs on to your own kid(s)?
