My missus swears by her Dyson, I can never work out how to use the bloody thing.

We have Henry at work, and he's excellent at cleaning out my back passage

So why do people buy Dyson's crap?
See my earlier post about gaudy chavesque fashion gimmicks. hehe

The power of in-your-face advertising and out and out lies is astonishing.

What's a Dyson like performance wise with all filters removed?

I might try that later. I'd imagine it's pretty good; the vast majority doesn't get as far as the filters. Expect some dust in the air, though.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Bissell knock spots off both Dyson and Henry machines.

Banned???? Dafuq? Too many emissions?? Too much noise?

We've had ours for about 7 years or more now, but he has lost a gear and is only single speed now. frown

standard Henrys are only 1200w, which means they are ok under this ban until 2017

edit - If you have a Henry you need the 'airo' brush attachment, which includes an agitator. makes all the difference.

I love the logic of making vacuums less powerful.

Obviously no one will just use them for longer....

I suppose the logic is that if you limit power the market will deliver efficiency.
