Had a couple of Dyson's in the past and they all broke.
Had a henry for years now and appears to be bomb proof.
Why do you think every builder and office has one
As above, we've had both. Dyson was a complete pile of ste and kept breaking down and they are not cheap. Had the henry for a few years now and it's been fine.Had a henry for years now and appears to be bomb proof.

It's the ronseal of the vacumning world.
Always had Henry in the workplace and at home for years. Recently have been thinking of getting something different for home, mainly because I find them a real pain in the arse to store away! They just do not want to stand up!! Anybody else have this problem? Also can't do the whole stairs from one plug.

Henry's came near the bottom on doing the job and top on reliability.
Yep. That's pretty much the attraction - a Henry will hoover badly long after everything else has given up hoovering.(I have one and actually it's well above any of its contemporaries for performance... problem is its contemporaries are all circa 1985 as Numatic's attitude seems more or less "if it ain't broken, don't fix it". Seriously. The only difference between my parents' original and my 2007 model is mine has a low power switch and a cable winder. They're fine if you don't have a chaos of multiple kids and pets to clean up after, though. And the commercial origins mean one bag lasts ages.)
Henry are utterly crap. Rubbish suction, they're only popular because they're cheap and they can suck up rubble, and they won't crack when they get bounced about. In terms of picking up finer particles and dust they perform very poorly compared to a Dyson.
We've got a Meile, it's better than both.

Dysons are a triumph of style over substance - I just have to look at one think "that's gonna break!".
Henrys (and all the other Numatic "names") on the other hand, are solid machines designed to do a job well without breaking. I know that dragging a Henry along by the hose is a bad idea because the furniture will suffer before the cleaner. The cute (ugh!) simpering face painted on them is just camouflage.
Just think - when was the last time you saw an office cleaner using a Dyson?

Yep Henrys are the man cocksmiths of the hoovering world.....you can stick your duel cyclone technology where the sun doesn't shine Mr Dyson.....although the sun does shine at your Malaysian production plant that you moved your company to......shortly after complaining that UK business's don't reinvest for the future....tosser!!!

Had a couple of Dysons and a Kirby and my missus now swears by her Henry.
Noticed the last time we went to the dump just how many Dysons were lined up there...
We are now on our second Dyson. To be honest, we bought the first one (the original yellow and grey one) because we thought it was cool, the second one (purple and grey 'vortex') because we had convinced ourselves that Dyson was the only brand to have... hmmNoticed the last time we went to the dump just how many Dysons were lined up there...
Anyway, due to the fact that there are so many at the tip, whenever we lose any attachments or somthing breaks, there is always a plentiful supply of 'free' spares to be had whenever I take the garden cuttings to the tip!!!
Waste not want not etc etc
