An 1896 first edition copy of "Lion, The Mastiff" by A.G. Savigny. Given to a past relative of mine for being a good boy at school.

Besides the house itself probably a WWI dress sword which belonged to my great grandfather. I also have my grandfathers dress sword, though that's about 30 years newer smile

Ignoring the 250 year old trees, and the old coinage, I guess the Victorian Barograph:

(In case... (for young people) It records barometric pressure to help predict weather)

"Holy thread resurrection, Batman!", etc.

The oldest thing in my house is the same as for the 1st commenter on this thread: the Mrs. wink

Gah, I didnt notice the original date on the thread!

I was searching for something unrelated and stumbled upon the thread, failed to notice how many pages into the main board it was!

It's OK - only joshing.
Better to use an existing thread than start another and some nerd remembers the original and calls "repost!" smile

Probably the house itself. It was built in about 1806, but the western face is older than that as it was originally a folly.

There's also a stand of beech trees in the garden which really intrigue me. Who planted them and why?

They must pre-date the house by several hundred years, since they were described in Brayley's History of Surrey (published in 1841) as being over 160 feet tall. They must have been fully grown at that point, since they're the same height now:
