How long should a combi boiler last?

new boilers don't like old systems, if you main h/e is blocked thats not really a fault of the boiler but debris in the system causing the issue.
you should be getting min 15 years from a valiant combi

In my current house we had a Worcester Heatslave 9.24 which lasted over 20 years. It was replaced with a WB27 CDi which broke down in the first year!! (Condensate pipe froze over... To be fair that was probably poor installation rather than a boiler fault but I get the impression that combis aren't as durable as the old style boilers.
The worcester 9.24 was before the bosch days and was a decent little boiler.
Condensate freezing is just poor instal practice.
We do seem to be going backwards in the expected lifespan of modern boilers you only have to pick one up to feel how light and flimsy they are.
Still believe Valliant are probably the best out there they have a better feel to them, i really dislike the newish worcester boilers full of plastic
