We want to fit a multi-fuel burner in our lounge, and I'd like to see some examples of your own fixtures and fittings.
I have looked at a previous thread regarding the fitment of the stoves, but I'd love to see some examples of what you've fitted.

Oh thats lovely. Plenty of rustic charm and obviously DEFRA approved.

Mmm, can't remember. Just noticed it was 5 years ago I took the picture. There's been a lot of wood through it since then.

On my phone so hopefully this will work! At my dads at Christmas...  Edit to add, this was the first week it had been in. Have now been advised to move the stored wood elsewhere. And the cellar, there's a little one at the bottom right of this photo.

To add to my post above, if you get one, make sure you have sufficient space above the wood burner for maximum efficiency. Also, you can buy these Eco fans as seen it my photo above. It's not cheap but requires no power and is silent. It's powered by the heat of the fire causing a chemical reaction between the two metals in the fan and creating a voltage. It's very fast and very effective.

That looks lovely. Thats the sort of style we are looking at. Nice little wine cellar too. I'm sure you will spend quite a bit of time in there !

I know these are 'how long is a piece of string' questions, but I'm thinking of replacing my open fire with a stove, what sort of costs would I be looking at? I take it that with the greater efficiency there should be a decent saving on log and heating oil costs?

This is the one at my parents' house:    It's in a relatively large double height room and if you light it first thing in the morning, it gets up to full temperature in a couple of hours and gives a lovely background warmth. Goes through a serious amount of wood though - we've burnt a good couple of tonnes this year already Also, it looks really nice at night with the lights down and is much less hassle than a regular fire. It'll easily keep going overnight and you just chuck some more wood on in the morning and it'll fire up again. Only need to clean it out once a week or so.

A proper PH type of woodburner. Been on all day and will cook steaks and baked potatoes over the embers later this afternoon.

Thanks for sharing. No problem. It's a nice addition. I'm not round there very often, buty seat is on the floor in front of the fire! My dad had the lounge burner fitted, but the wine cellar burner was already there. As was all the sailing decor, charts, lights, fishing nets, even an old mast and sail! It's quite a cool little room. His wood burner in the lounge is quite a large one and it was pretty expensive. He was recommended several times to go for a more expensive branded one, over a cheap one. He's really pleased with it. He's also got ducts from the fireplace into the kitchen behind. The kitchen is huge and has a double Height vaulted ceiling with lots of sky light windows and double fold doors all along two walls, as well as the steps down to the cellar, so it's a huge space to heat.
