This might be a better bet

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

on a v.nice private estate built in the 1890s with streams running through it and 2 mins walk to the Thames path and the local sailing club. 5 mins walk to the station or 15 mins drive to High Wycombe for the Thameslink. 2 mins walk to local shops, in catchment for local grammar schools, bus service to private schools in Maidenhead if Tarquin flunks the 11+.

Spend some of the £300k change on a nice boat to park in Bourne End Marina - also 2 mins walk away.

I expect the traffic noise 1k from one of the busiest junctions on the M25 will be quite something.

Are you actually going to look at any of these places or is this just a random desktop tour of one county?

Random desktop tour with a view to perhaps thinking about moving in a few years.

Fulmer is lovely, although that house isn't in it!

Cherry Tree Lane however is very quiet, with local traffic cutting through from Fulmer Common Road preferring to use Alderbourne Lane instead. M40 is in a cutting around there and so shouldn't be a problem, but Pinewood's expansion plans might be worth investigating (can't remember if they were going to appeal).

Oh, and Alderbourne Lane has a great ford, ideal for hydraulic lock and bent con-rods whistle

My house is in Beaconsfield. I don't work in the city, but a chap who lives with me does on a regular basis and it really isn't a problem at all. 25 (IIRC) mins to Marylebone which is unbeatable for the surrounding area.

Have a look at Seer Green, although I don't know what the trains are like from there (it's the same line, but the fasts may not stop there).
Whereabouts in town does your Husband, boyfriend, lover "Chap" work?

Henry smile
