My other half has lost some of (thrown away imo) her invisiline braces (you get 1 for every 2 weeks for 84 weeks or something). These have a high value for just the couple that have been misplaced are worth £500.

Is this something you can claim on house insurance? I told her to notch it to experience but she does not have 500quid lying about to replace them (if thats possible).

Many thanks in advance.

You can claim for anything - whether they'll pay or not is another matter.

They might regard them as personal possessions and that's often an optional cover - does your OH have that, and is it for a suitable amount?

It might be worth checking what her excess is and what she pays a year for the insurance, as she will likely lose her "no claims bonus" which will most probably put her policy up by about 30% next year.
