Anyone any recommendations for types and suppliers of grass seed for a domestic back garden? In areas it is very shady, others very sunny. Something hard enough wearing for the kids/bbqs etc.

Hi, I work in the seed industry. You should look at a mix that contains perennial ryegrass (hard wearing, fast growth)strong creeping red fescue (stoloniferous growth to fill in between ryegrass plants), chewings fescue (lovely aesthetic quality and drought tolerance) and rough stalked meadowgrass (poa trivialis) for the shade.
How large is your garden?
