OP you need to refine what sort of area you want to live in. London is soo big that there will pretty much be an area to suit every person. Let us know what you want from the area, only then can we let you know what would suit you best.
he doesnt have a choice he has 500k and needs a 2 bedder
Areas that are not in budget: W1, SW1

Everytwhere else you can probably get something for that budget, so I don't understand the no choice thing?
You can get a 2 bed in chelsea/fulham/blah blah blah for that budget.

First you say you can't, then you post two properties to show that you can.

Furthermore I can find loads in Sw10 (might not be the Little Boltons, but it is still Chelsea.

first is a boat and a mooring, not really a property.
The second is the only "real" property available, and no one in their right mind would want to live there.

It seems that you only searched through one estate agent, as there are quite a few properties in Chelsea within budget.

Just because you don't want to live in the Worlds End estate does not mean that it is not a property that is within budget.

I searched on globrix, which usually covers everything..

No one wants to live in the worlds end estate. i suspect the OP has this view too.

Im not sure what your argument is? you cant buy a 2 bed (that you would actually live in) in chelsea, and most likely the rest of PCL. PCL prices are upwards of £1k a sq.ft, so your 500k gets you 500 sqft.. not really habitable for a 2 bed.

Shame as the towers on the estate have some of the best views in the whole area.

On the otherhand we walked past our local estate agent this morning..
1 bed flat in Lownes Court = £3.2m

Over three million for a one bed flat!

Dear god. I actually grimaced as I looked at those pictures. Was something killed and dragged along every surface in that sthole of a place?
