New house build - Luxembourg

Where abouts are you building? I'm just out of the city on Rue de Arlon heading towards Strassen.
Hey, another Bourg resident! This is in Junglinster, behind the new commune building.
pvapour: Fingers crossed, yes! Sun's shining again today, hit 20c yexterday, which was odd as we had snow flurries on Thu. WTF?

Plastering's underway!
(I didn't touch the machine, honest officer... )
Hmmm.... not quite sure what's happening here. Still in need of boxing in and proper backboxes for these connections. That's for double sockets, 2 x sat coax, 1 x cable tv coax, 2 x Cat7:
Laundry room/office area foam insulation to the exterior wall has been turned a strange shade of pink, presumably a sealant ahead of plastering:
I had a nose at the house at the other end of the row of 4. They've had their underfloor heating installed and it's all screeded in. I'm pleased I chose to hide the UF control panels away from plain view - this one's in the hallway from the garage to the house:

So, this is how the shell looked when we first went to view in August 2012:
Here it is last night, edging strips going on in readiness for the outside to be rendered:
The sparky seemed a bit surprised we didn't want a light outside the garage. He'd overlooked the streetlight was right there.
It's been a plaster-tastic time inside the last few days:
Our bedroom, from the rear of the house looking to the front, en suite's on the right...
Same room, other direction...
1st floor hallway from our room towards guest room (left) and office/laundry rooms (ahead)
Very pleased with the plastering so far, with very few trowel marks and a good, flat finish.

Plasterers are blasting through this work!
We might just be in before August site shutdown!....he says, still crossing fingers AND toes.
Guest room's done:
Rooms above garage (still to be divided into 2) are done:
I'm not sure when they're supposed to be sticking the plasterboard up, though? I guess the ventilation for the air/heat exchanger's needed first, hence the "chimney" opening:
The stairwell from 1st to ground floor's also plastered.

There's tons of insulation, Nick - even on the outside!
We're hoping our energy bills will be much, much lower, but they should be with an A rated house. Current place is E rated and that was built in 2004. We buy about 2,300 liters of oil p.a..
The new heating system, solar panels for hot water and triple glazed windows will pay for themselves over time.
We're also buying a lot of LED lights from EcoLED and will replace all the other 'energy saving but crap for lighting' light bulbs with LEDs too.
Oh, dear.... all that and using the bus, I'm beginning to sound like an environ-mentalist.
...*scarpers to Classifieds to buy a fun weekend car*
ETA: old house should have been E rated, but actually was H on the EPC, and the buyers only knew that on the day of completion. :-/

Down the stairs to the ground floor's now plastered:
Popping by the site at lunchtime today to meet the sparky's boss as I'm puzzled as to why they've put the satellite TV cable runs WHERE they've put them, rather than where I instructed them to be put. Hopefully I'll get to see the plastering machine in action!

" 'Ere, mister - can I have a go on that?"
... *breaks triple glazed patio doors*
Plastering will be finished today!
I expect the guy's done the bit I took a pic of 30 mins ago, above, and then moved on to the kitchen.
Sparky's told me our house is 3rd out of 4 in the row for 2nd fix (immediate neighbour's delayed) and the other end of the row's 2nd fix has already started.
The weather's great, some other chaps were outside doing the edging strips for the rendering and a couple more were doing the concrete edgings for the side path & terrace, so we're looking good now for being ready pre-August "congé" (shutdown).
I can't remember if I posted it before or not, but we also sold our existing house 2 weeks ago when it had been on the market for only 2 weeks!

UFH installation's begun on the 2nd floor:
I hope the sparky can remember what these are all for?...
The sparky's also been around the house to uncover all his work that the plasterers covered in the last week.
IIRC, 2 for outside lights, 1 for dining room light, 1 for external sockets, 1 for electric shutter contoller.

I hear you. I feel sorry that after all their great work, Muncher's plasterer didn't live up to their expectations.
I don't know what the construction schedule is, tbh. I don't have their full schedule of works. I'll have a better idea when I can get to the site over the weekend (currently in Laaandon for work).
In any case, we've signed our house sale 'compromis' to be out on or before 15 August. If the new place isn't ready, we have a few options for alternative short term. Our estate agent dealing with the sale of our current house just called me. Our purchasers have a verbal approval of their mortgage and the formal letter will be provided next week to the notary. Our agent will then push the notary to create the 'acte' for signing ASAP, which is effectively the contract exchange and completion.

The UFH polystyrene slabs have been laid on all 3 levels. Pipe work can begin tomorrow. I expect this week will be slower though as Wed is a bank holiday for most of Europe.
Sadly rain returned to Lux on Friday or the outside would have have the rendering basecoat added.
Excavation has begun for the 2 houses behind ours. I met the new neighbours to be during the week, a couple in their early/mid 30s. He drives an MX-5, so must be alright by PH standards, eh?

Cheers, Wetwipe.
Yep, after weeks of slow progress there's usually a team of 5-7 guys working every day in/on the house. I think the main contractor really wants to get this block of 4 finished and keys handed over before Summer shutdown, then the money that's held in Escrow for the moment will be released to them. Good for us, though.

Floors are all cemented again, over UfH, in readiness for tiling.
Whilst the cements drying out thoroughly, the sparkies can come back and do their 2nd fix.
The garage interior wall, that was previously clad in insulation foam, has also had it's first coat of render.
When the 2nd coat's on and dried, then the sparky can install the main fuseboard, server cabinet with the Cat7 connections, also home to the satellite and cable TV distribution matrix.
The 4 conduits you can see fixed to the floor house 4 x 2 cables for the Sat TV, which run out of the back of the garage to the rear garden. Fixing the satellite dish to the side of the house wasn't an option in the end due to the depth of the external insulation slabs, so the dish will be in the garden, out of sight.
Obviously the conduits will be out of sight too in the garage as the floor's still to be screeded and tiled. Yes, tiled.
