Is it very cold where you are at the moment? If the condensation pipe freezes, you'll get the EA code. Unlikely to happen while the boiler is running because the condensate is moderately warm but if you have a water trap in the pipe, once the boiler shuts down the water may be freezing in it and then the boiler can't start up again.

EA code again this morning and boiler wouldn’t ignite after 3 reset attempts So finally had enough and checked out the bearing plate, sure enough it was stuck. Followed this tutorial and found it pretty straightforward https://youtu.be/GiRo01XDd5M
Brilliant Video, that is what the engineer changed on my boiler.
They don't list it as "Bearing Plate" in my Worcester manual, it says "Diaphragm in Burner cover"
Just an an update on this, I ended up taking out a Worcester Bosch cover plan on my boiler, I have had no EA codes since the part was changed, the Engineers only work on Worcester Bosch boilers so they won't start telling you oh this is buggered mate and recommend you another manufacturers boiler.
I have had some issues with the Plastic manifold springing pinhole leaks, this is due to me living in a high chalk area and timescale in the water eating the plastic. All parts replaced within the service plan and I could not be happier. Yes it costs, but very professional service and free parts, I would 100% recommend.

It was 10° last night (Worcestershire), and my condensate drain is internal, so not that! I thought it was the cold weather until it happened this morning. I'd go as far to say that it wasn't humid either.
