The first pic is of an original poster from the DPRK mass games that I went to a couple of years ago. I have finally got round to getting it framed and hung.

Then the second pic are a couple of prints that I picked up online, they weren't meant for the hall but that's where they look best I think. They are just something a little bit different. They are high resolution prints and are extremely detailed in real life. Sorry about the rubbish ithing pics.

Grandmas forementioned painting went to Christies on Thursday last week. Check out how much it made:

Holy Feck!

I hasten to add the money is not mine, it belongs to the family, so don't bother asking for a tenner!!!

Sorry for the quality of the photo - artificial lighting and reflections but you get the idea. This is perhaps a little different from much of the stuff posted on this thread but i like it. It is an original. This is by a lady called Elizabeth Gray, very elderly thesedays but a former concert pianist too so very talented.

I'll post another

This one is also Elizabeth Gray a bit bigger than the last one but is of Tal Y llyn lake in Snowdonia in the shadow of Snowdon itself.

And finally - you did say about Art on your Walls - this is a Gillian Still 'Sculpture' made from a fired porcelain and a one off. Called 'The Singer' and as someone already pointed out - she must have been going at some speed to get through that wall!!

The 2 paintings look really good - Tina Turner busting through the wall, not so much my cup of tea. Then again I know as much about art as I do about 17th century Russian economics.

Something my mum gave me. It's ceramic set in concrete by a Japanese artist whose name escapes me. Bit of a curio but I like it. Weighs a fair bit!

Found a guy doing these - how to program your Roland 808. Just a bit of fun.
Where might I find one of those?

They're from a graphic designer called Rob Ricketts. He's done a few electro classics, but I like Voodoo Ray!

My first motoring inspired painting. I think it is a keeper but this will probably stay in my studio as the OH isn't too keen.
"Nine-Thirty"
I like it - I think it compliments your style (from the others you posted). What's your wife's beef with your work..? You make it sound as if she doesn't care too much for your talents! smile
Thanks. She likes my work in grey scales but not so much the colour. Also, while she is happy to indulge my motoring interests, she doesn't want a 911 on "her" walls which I think is fair enough.

Did you buy a job lot and not bother unpacking them?

Jees , yes. I just looked at the first link and noted that it went for 10 times the estimate! Bloody good result that, must have been a few folks desperate to get hold of it.

Good taste in the old dear and good news for the family. Very nice suprise I'll bet! smile

I'm looking at this on the wall of my office just now...

It was "painted" by my father in the 60s by dribbling layer upon layer of epoxy resin out of washing up liquid bottles. It's about 150x100 cm and weighs quite a bit!
