Just noticed we have a piece by one of the 6 guest artists as well.
The most fantastic little ceramic fox by Nichola Theakston.
Which had a little accident and is now back with her for some corrective surgery!
Hope to collect when she visits http://www.potfest.co.uk/potfestpark.htm
Which we attend every year, ended up with this exhibition piece last year...

Ooops! She's great and yes Radka Kirby is a guest artist - one of the winners last year and one of my favourite pieces 'Mosi-o-Tunya Park' in the flesh it looks like stained glass, the colours are so vivid and beautiful. The most fantastic little ceramic fox by Nichola Theakston.

Are you able to get to the exhibition? sounds like it would be right up your street! I think there are workshops and demonstrations by the guest artists during the week.

It is said only have things that are beautiful or useful in your house. Maybe it is me but I enjoy looking at an angry bird.
Don't worry, it was Morris: " Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful"Edited by softtop on Saturday 7th June 13:00
Let's face it he didn't half produce some crap. The sentiment is very fine, but I think he was overly reliant on the word believe....

Finally managed to get this William Gear mixed media from 1958 to match another one I have (from 1959). My dad bought it a few years ago and I've been after it for a while. Did a swap with him so we're both happy
Love that! I could stare at it for hours.I don't know if it's the effects of a (small) laptop screen but it looks almost 3 Dimensional, as if it curves in and out and has body; I can pretty much imagine holding the 'substance' of it and feel the form and 'body' of it, especially when I start the gaze from the centre. Don't know if that was intended, but works for me!
