A couple that I had from mother. She wasn't keen, but I needed something to go on the wall in the sitting room. Not to everyone's taste but oh well.

Just get them in a frame.

I've used eFrames in the past and been happy with them.

Any more sculpture lovers out there?
Love that a lot.
I saw your post without realising it was you, and then started googling where I could buy similar and found a place which reminded me of you. And then came back and realised it actually was you.

Anyway, I like that a lot and want one in my garden. Are you prepared to say how much in public?

I'm always doing that BSR... I read my own posts and think "wow that is amazing and hilarious... who IS that person???" then I realise it's me all along.

It is by a South African artist called Simon Max Bannister - he was just in the UK but has gone back to SA now, he will do commissions though (provided it is a wild animal) I will email you his contact details - I believe there is still a rhino available (which is absolutely amazing too).

I think it was very reasonable - will PM you that info too.

Seeing as a few sculptures crept in, I thought I'd offer this one I'm making at the moment. It's a tribute to HR Giger who died in May.

It's going to be a two piece item with a mirror I'm currently working on.

eek You're making that yourself!! beer How many hours in are you at the moment and can you share some of the journey of making it?

If it wasn't for the fact that the wife would chop off a limb, i'd love to get hold of some original artwork by Florian Karg. He does sell prints at a fair cost and i just love the style.

As it stands, beyond the generic canvas/prints from ikea etc, here is the only thing i've managed to get of my arse and get printed for our staircase. Much cheaper than a normal print, and even though it's simple, I like the fact that I thought of it!

Oh, another print, not strictly art, but as this is PH....

Never before has anyone's taste been questioned on here. Last I checked taste is entirely subjective!

That's what I love about art - you can't really be wrong, just different sets of opinions on the same thing! I think that not only is it very talented but also visually great smile

Mr Chips, some of the journey to make it? MDF off cuts, two skulls from an aquatic centre(fish tank decoration), two metres of galvanised flexi trunking, a square foot of aluminium grid & 3 cans of titanium alloy wheel spray, that's the recipe anyway. 50 or 60 hours labour on the table, maybe the same to come on the mirror.

Opinion's split in my workshop too, love or hate it, it's a buzz that I can spend a little time with a few simple items & make something that generates such a response. I spend all year making furniture & museum showcases that conform to what others might think have taste. It's refreshing to do something completely different.....you think the table's weird? Wait til you see the mirror!

Anyhoo, back to what this thread's been about. A few years ago I made this as a one off:

A few components from a DB9 & I borrowed heavily from Jaeger Lecoultre for the clock face & complication.
