Art on your walls...
Discussion
Our nursery has quite a few Banksy influences....

My collecting ended up branching out with Adam Neate and Herakut featuring quite a lot, and my wife collects rare/unusual art books which is useful as it's something I'd never been into before...

Since getting married quite a few of my pieces of artwork were deemed unsuitable so new pieces are starting to creep in...
If these are of interest to anyone I'll post more from the collection

Found the artist who painted the magnificent nude which is on the wall behind the older gents on Gogglebox. I have had a nice exchange of emails with the lady in question and it seems she is truly a rising star. Get in quick if you like her work! Warning , it may take a reasonable amount of your 'hard-earned' away from the car related savings pot! To clarify, I have absolutely no connection with this lady but like a lot of her art. If anyone is interested then pm me and I'll send you a link (unless the mods will allow a link here?)

I absolutely love how invaluable PH can sometimes be! I noticed that painting and was very impressed by it. Have since been searching for something 'similar' but never thought of finding out who painted it!Please do pm me if you can... is it 5 figures?

Adam Neate and Herakut
Friend of mine has a house full of this sort of stuff - think he may have been Neate's first sales outlet.Edited by Petrus1983 on Thursday 27th November 15:48

Never before has so much talent been present in someone with so little taste!
How qualified are you to make a statement like that ?It's not something I would want either but as it's a tribute to Hans Giger I can see the intention behind it.

Do you have any pics of your Banksy originals?
Most (there's not that many) are now in storage and tbh aren't overly special - I've seen some done directly onto faux walls and then well framed and had provenance which made them really cool. The monkey's below are 100% officially NOT by Banksy - I even have a certificate to prove it They are really well done though. The Heavy Weaponry (elephant) was my first original and hopefully will be a keeper. The Girl With Balloon and Grin Reaper are both special to me and although not originals per se they are quite hard to get hold of now.

Cor, lovely HW!!
I really like GWARB as well.
Quite a while ago my house was broken into with the HW on the wall, they took a TV (massive old style one they could have gone to the tip for), a VCR (that's how long ago it was!) and some rubbishy old CD's and left it hanging there I really like GWARB as well.
Meant to update this thread as I've managed to get a hold of a few more Julie Dumbarton originals a couple of weeks ago, bought one for the wife and the others are for my parents and the MIL for Xmas.
She did a couple of snowy scenes which are totally different for her whilst still being recognisably hers.
She did the minis & midis to celebrate moving into her new studios so if you check out her website she might have some left, this is the one we kept;

This thread has inspired me to put something a little creative on the walls.
No idea what it'll be yet. Still trying to decide whether to decorate first and find something to suit or get the painting(s) and decorate to match.
Happily, my nephew has accepted a commision and we're trying to decide what he'll do for me.

Here's two of mine...
A Ben Payne original. Mainly because my wife loves Hot Air Ballons and it's fabulous to own an original painting.
A Henderson Cisz print. 'Winter Skies'. Signed and dedicated by the artist, I really rate his work and this particular view of London has a great emotional significance to me, and to my wife.
