Been very busy with the house renovation - but after stripping this room right out to tank floor and walls before plastering, ceiling, wiring, new windows, skirting, coving, finally decorating... I'm pretty excited to get onto the fun side and start buying stuff (although I don't really want to cover up the black wall as I love it so much).

Just bought this Jamie Reid signed limited edition 'Liberty' in diamond dust - so happy with it, it looks amazing and have a reclaimed submarine light to go over it which will make the dust sparkle...

also the two Andy Doig pieces - star made out of reclaimed fairground lights and board and the neon cross made with original fairground wood boxing.

Jamie Reid

Andy Doig (Fishtail Neon)

I doubt if my stuff appeals to many on here, but I am as happy as a pig in muck with this lot smile
It really appeals to me. I love this styling. Well done you for having the balls (and possibly a sympathetic wife) to run with it.
I am the wife biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Since this last post we have the pieces wall mounted and wired in

Looks awesome - now waiting for the MASSIVE 14 seat table made from reclaimed oak and iron to arrive. We have no friends so we are going to get cardboard cut-outs made of interesting deceased people so dinner parties at our house will be rather like 'Home Alone'.

Quite tricky to photograph so it looks how it actually is in real life.

Yes that is a neon penis.

I also just bought this gorgeous blackened ram skull with iron shavings from Skallagrimur Design - Icelandic Livestock Art

I can't remember the artist who did the skaters below but I really love it.

Returning Rose by Richard Rowan

Bit of a back story to this. I bought a print from Castle galleries in 2012 then they sent me a copy of their new catalogue in early 2013 and I showed it to my mum. She got to the page with this on and said she really liked it and when she was better (from cancer) she would treat herself to one.

A year or so later and sadly my mum loses her battle and all thoughts of the painting leave my head. But as time goes on I think about getting a Richard Rowan. Returning Rose is long sold out (it's an edition of 95) but nothing else really appeals.

Fast forward to January this year and I'm still on the mailing list for Castle Galleries and I got a random sales email from their Birmingham branch about some original pieces that are available by another artist. I wasn't interested in those but I did ask when the new Richard Rowan collection was out as I'm really after something similar to returning rose. The salesman took a while to get back to me but asked me to give them a call. I did and he's managed to track down a returning rose.

Despite having no where to really put it I bought it and picked it up today. Quite apt really as it was two years ago yesterday that we lost my mum.

It doesn't really suit where I've put it, it is hung but is only just off the furniture below it but I'll get it sorted in time.

Ha ha... thanks - it is pretty fab, but it has taken blood, sweat and quite a few tears and tantrums - it's 1 year yesterday that we completed on it smile

That is brilliant but for some reason the black hole really makes me uncomfortable.

We have a load of art on e walls. Mainly tat I have done myself.

These are from the study.

This is in the bedroom

These prints on the upstairs landing

And this is a shameless copy of something I found online. It's above the fireplace.

Needless to say I have a very tolerant wife.

Just noticed the top image needs rotating. Not too sure how to fix it sorry.
