In case you haven’t seen it, Drayton Wiser are currently 30% off for packs of their TRVs.

Just ordered four more to pretty much finish off the whole house.
Which seller / reseller is doing this please?

Thanks, I'd only found this seller by my searching and it's better value per item - assuming 3 are wanted / needed. I think I have all I need for my system, 2 rads left to install and I have 2 spare rad valves....

Is there simple Wi-Fi thermostat to replace the basic dial on my wall that allows me to set a schedule of time and temperature doesn't need any special hub or a unit wired into the boiler ?

That sort of thing but i wondered if there was one that didn't need any wiring into the boiler, that one does - it may not exist or be a thing/possible.

If your existing stat is wired then the Tado wired smart stat will be a straight swap (well you will have to do some wiring and change the wall plate).

You will need the tado bridge as well but that just connects in to a spare ethernet port on your router then you forget about it.

Example: https://uk.shop.tado.com/products/tado-wired-smart...

Ignore the part about it being for a combi only as it doesn't replace your programmer so you can still use that for hot water control.

Anyone with tado? On the app if the “Turn off all rooms” button is there, does that mean the heating is therefore ‘on’ in some way? Otherwise why would you be able to turn it off?

Asking as we’ve had a couple of instances where all rooms have been off then we’ve realised the boiler is still on and the hallway rads (which don’t have thermostatic valves) are hot. So it’s as if you can’t turn the heating off even though you thought it was off.

This has led to some confusion because if you hit the button it disappears

The off button is like a summer mode I guess. Stops the thermostat from calling for heat so you can do maintenance, etc.

Its not a 'big red switch' off though as I have pressed the off button once it has reached the temp and the boiler still continues to run, etc. Strange behaviour as off should be off imo.
