Had to cut access holes when we fitted the new soil pipes last year, going to have to enlarge them as well, as with the run / fall required for one of the toilets will need to be in an adjoining bay between the joists. Still got to first fix all the heating and h+c supplies in here yet too.

I can't leave this post alone. I keep coming back to it and looking at before and after pictures. It is bookmarked, and when I see there has been an update, I can't wait to see what has been done.
I cannot comprehend how you have done it.
It is by far the best posting I have seen, anywhere.

The results are the stuff of dreams.

Ha, true. I got full planning permission last year for a detatched double garage........
Have we ever seen all the outbuildings and their contents? I vaguely remember you saying you'd never been in some of them.

Should your double garage not have been knocked back for being out of keeping with scale of the rest of the property though?

Didn't he tell you? It's a double garage to accommodate two Hummers with working space smile

Superb work, great vision from the start.

Here's me worrying about the three bed victorian terrace house we've just bought and are about to do up!

Just wanted to check, which room is the eight lane Scalextric going in?

Sorry guys, been too long since my last update. Lots of things going on recently, including deciding to fit out the ground floor as a bed and breakfast with a seperate kitchen, lounge and dining area. The b&b is now open, which has taken a lot of time up recently, hence the slightly slow process on the rest of the rooms.

Shameless plug alert! Anyone wanting to stay in sunny Scotland from PH gets a discount, and a free tour of the house! www.townhead-bedandbreakfast.co.uk email me for details.

Still working on this room, although now it's been divided into another 3 bedroom and bathrooms...

So, work done so far since my last update:

All exterior walls now framed, insulated and plasterboarded
All new internal walls fully complete
False ceilings in all rooms installed, sheeted and first coated
All rooms taped and filled (took me a while to do this, as had to get this done by myself, and it was just over 60 sheets of plasterboard, and I'm not the fastest taper!)
Cornice fitted in all rooms
First fix electrical complete
4th zone fire alarm system first fixed
First fix plumbing complete
2 bathrooms tiled to dado height and showers wet walled
New reproduction door facings fitted and primed
Drill 4 x 5" core drill holes for extractors through a 850mm thick stone wall...
All windows removed, sanded and prepped ready for final finishing and re cording

Plus a load of other small jobs!

Anyway a few pictures

Sorry guys, will get them done soon. Just working on a load of things right now.

This will give you a laugh, I'm Looking into getting replacement boilers fitted, as the ones fitted are obsolete and getting parts is a nightmare. So, first job was to make a list of the existing radiators and KW ratings so I could see what I needed.

so, how many radiators and KW do you think it came out to?
