Anywhere decent for a front entrance door?
Discussion
Looking for a new front door, the current one doesn't have anything wrong with it other than looking awful (standard fit pvc door)
Want to replace it with something more contemporary looking but the prices I'm finding are ridiculous, anything that looks half decent is about £3-4.5k delivered with no fitting.
Where can I get something good looking for up to about £1.5k delivered?

One of these: http://www.frontdoorshop.co.uk/oak-doors/modena-8-...
Plus frame, chippy, assorted contemporary stainless steel hardware was the route we went. Doubt we spend £1K.

Tried www.kloeber.co.uk? I used them recently, pleased with the result.

Some good stuff there for decent prices. I'd need to have mine painted though or it'll look odd as there'll be cedar cladding above it.Plus frame, chippy, assorted contemporary stainless steel hardware was the route we went. Doubt we spend £1K.

Hormann TPS700. Optional side/top-elements. Many colours. We have just had a TPS700 with 2 side-elements, SBD (Secure by Design locking). Fitted cost was approx £2400 inc VAT. Door is solid. Very very happy.
Hi,we're in the process of renovating/modernising our first house and need new external doors. I've been browsing Hormann and they do look nice. Do you mind divulging where you sourced yours and who fitted it? (we're Sarf Laandan!/Surrey)
We've just had a Hormann front door fitted. Very pleased with it - these guys did it for us: http://www.ahagaragedoors.co.uk/thermopro.htm
Looks like it's going to be a Hormann for me too, makes sense as my garage will have one when it's built.
Looking at a TPS 015 like this http://www.garagedoorsonline.co.uk/product_details...
Does anyone know if it's possible to have a letter box and spy hole added?

We had the TPS015 (see here http://hootiegootie.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/and-so-...) from the above mentioned AHA chappies. You can have a letter box and spyhole fitted but it will compromise the thermal efficiency of the door (obviously). We were going to have a letter box fitted but once we saw the door in we didn't want to 'ruin' it in any way. We went for a wall mounted letter box in stainless steel instead.
We're in the process of having a composite door fitted from Solidor - http://www.solidor.co.uk/
Around £800 plus VAT and fitting.
We also tried Kloeber for their UPVC doors and windows - 12k plus fitting, ended up at 6500 for A+ rated plus the composite front door from a local chap.

no worries. We must have looked at loads of options and always kept coming back to the Hormanns. They are in a different league from all the other doors we looked at. Matching garage door is going in next month and that was actually cheaper than some of the quotes I've had for 'standard type' garage doors.
