Fantastic attention to detail as usual! I was in Matalan earlier on, spotted these and immediately thought of your Tiki Cabin!...

Well I'm finally at the bottom of my pile of scaffold boards that I bought. Got a mini digger for levelling the ground for the fire pit and seating area. This isn't squared up and fixed yet just been cutting it all in the glorious weather. There is space for fire wood storage under the seats. Should get about 15 people in there.

Firepit all finished now, seeded all round it and it's starting to come up. Had breakfast round the fire last weekend

Only just seen this thread.
How utterly amazing. Best thread I've seen on PH by a long way.
Your family must have the best time there! Your kids will never forget the house they grew up in thanks to all your hard work. You should be exceptionally proud of yourself.
I like you, Nick Grant.
(Even if I feel like a lazy bd in comparison to you!).

Not sure what happened to the drawing but I just found this photo of it. It changed a little as I built it, mostly the roof is not as steeply angled for better head room inside. And I used two full scaffold boards for the width of the roof to save cutting so it is 4.8 meters wide not 4m.

Perfect! Thanks for that, should be enough to get me started...you don't work for beer do you?
Thanks

I've only just been made aware of this thread by someone posting on a thread of mine.
Can I just say what incredible vision you have and how seriously fantastic a job you have done.
The lighting pictures on snowy nights are incredible.
My cap is truly doffed!
Thanks Julian, it took a bit longer that one of your projects though Can I just say what incredible vision you have and how seriously fantastic a job you have done.

This thread should come alive again early next year, kitchen extension planned, drawings being done at the minute.
