Not yet.

Quick update. Completion date has moved to end of February due to delay caused by sellers who told us 'no chain'. 'No chain' actually meant 'we have a chain that was used to pull Titanic'. But that wall will be hidden one way or another.

Have a look at evergreen climbing Hydrangeas - hydrangea seemanii and Hydrangea petiolaris for a mass of elegant white flowers but my choice would be an evergreen Ceanothus. this one would be perfect as eventual size is spot on for that wall. http://apps.rhs.org.uk/plantselector/plant?plantid...
it won't require anything like as much pruning as most climbers which will cover the whole garage if not kept in check. Ceanothus are absolutely brilliant for bees and butterflies too.

this page is well worth a read

I don't believe ceanothus is self climbing whereas hydrangea petiolaris is and also attracts bees like mad. I have one and it's excellent.

I wouldn't they are very high mainenance also, the roots go deeeeeep underground and they seem to be good at knocking over walls. I've also seen one destroy a conservatory from the inside.

Been scanning PH ivy threads - want to remove mine from a fence, but want to replace it with something.

My parents next door neighbour has a climbing hydrangea. Its been in 30 odd years but it looks amazing, is totally controlled too
