Thanks that was quick! I will keep you posted. I did post a question about how to get email notifications on this site but it seems you just have to keep checking so I missed your post till today when I went on to update.

Spoke to the installer this morning good news Warmprotection have offered a complete new curtain just in case the problem shows up on any other slats in the door later.
So full marks to them as a company!clap
The installer should have the door in stock in the next couple of days, but as he is very busy (also holiday time staff off) and my door is operating fine I am happy to wait till he can fit me in. So it might be a few weeks before I get it, as it happens it suits me fine as I am a bit busy for the next couple of weeks anyway.
So thus far good service from both installer and maker, I will keep you posted.
Good luck with your door,

Happy update!
Installer came today and fitted the new curtain free of charge looks fine.
I asked about the suppliers comments and yes they have had the problem before and agree it is a fault with the insulating filling, they seem to think it is perhaps a problem when a manufacturing run is started maybe the filling is not quite even, but as said I had only 5 faulty ones and no more appeared they were all next to each other so it does suggest a faulty batch.
Anyway as I said they decided to change the whole lot just in case.
I don't know how things are going with your door but I can certainly say I am very happy with Warmprotection.
Please let me know how you get on.

I have recently had a single sized insulated electrically operated roller door fitted by what I thought was an 'upmarket' supplier.
I know PH does not like naming and shaming, but I am sorely tempted. Their customer service is abysmal. I paid a 50% deposit for the VERY expensive door (£2100) and had to wait 10 weeks for the installation. This was only after I asked for a refund due to their lack of contact/installation date. They supplied a remote keypad which would not work, and after numerous calls and emails have still not been back. It has battery back up. When run on battery only it is very slow and struggles. It is also noisy on normal operation. I so wish I had gone with Hormann.

you couldnt make it up...

this was all sorted in small claims court just over 6 months ago.
finally got a partial refund and agreed to split the court costs.
The old supplier stated in court that he had no use for the door as it was so badly damaged whilst attempting to get a lower settlement figure then when we agreed a settlement I agreed to split the court costs as I was keeping the door to allow me to have my new door fitted at my convenience there was no mention of him getting the door back.....

Today just over 6 months later I get a text from him asking when he can pick up HIS door...
pretty sure its a wind up , but have just told him to take me to court this time as the door is gone.
