Excellent. Although I suspect normal service will resume in about 15 mins when someone posts up the Palace of Versailles.

Nice. Although it hasn't changed much in the last 11 months since the last pic of it. I was expecting a helipad at least.

I'm not sure anyone will be able to beat 'Ive installed a Horse Walker' but I look forward to being proven wrong with 'I built a big treehouse in the back garden and I don't even have kids' Dont let me down PH biggrin

Thanks. An awful lot to do - there will likely be a renovation thread on it. Work has stalled due to impending divorce but will restart once I'm back in.

I thought it was just for the person who walks the horse?

I really like the twisty brick supports at the front - really nice touch.

Very nice, and great views. Is there a privacy reason for the tall hedge on the left hand side? Otherwise it would open the garden up to those wonderful views

You joke.... it allows the groom to get the horses out of the stables while she mucks out. It also warms them up a bit before they are ridden.

Only that the previous owner was too tight to buy a fence and planted leylandii furious It's a twice a year job to keep it culled back and tidy. And ideally I would like to have it either a lot lower or gone completely and replaced with a picket fence or something. On the flipside, does give a tiny bit of protection at harvest time when the dust is kicked up right next to the boundary.

You can see from the winter pic (within weeks of moving in) that it is totally out of control and took a while to get it pulled back from that state. But it's still a good full day job to go from front to back of the house (inside, outside and top of hedge). Especially where it goes behind the motorhome where it's >3m high.

Absolutely loving all the properties posted in this thread. We started in a one bedroomed flat in Harrow 25yrs ago and after a couple more moves, moved to Cumbria in August, last year. We're working on the interior for now, but hopefully this will be our penultimate home. We're surrounded by sheep and baby lambs, with a red squirrel showing himself daily.

We bought this one year ago. It's taking a lot of work (probably more than we bargained for!) but is absolutely worth it. The photos are from the agent when we bought it, I'll have to take some more.

It looks lovely - much land with it? What sort of age is the house? How's that driveway in snow/ice?
