Why thank you. It's based Beth Chatto's famous gravel garden:

Once established, aside from a little pruning and weeding it needs no maintenance or watering, and provides something of interest all year round.

It will look like this once they finish building it.

Supposed to complete early next month.

Look nicely kept to me.

Lets see a pic of your palace!!
I'll admit, you'll see more well kept council houses in NI than you tend to see in England.
Granted, there is the odd exception. smile

That could be our house, but our front gardens are a bit smaller.

Some pretty awesome pads here!

Poor form taking the piss out of anyone's house by the way considering it is usually the most expensive thing anyone buys - it's always a castle to the owner!

Anyone got a car worth much more than their house? Pistonheads priorities!

Those ex council places are normally a lot nicer than a lot of new build executive dross.

Rendering must have made a huge difference. We are planning on doing it to replace the current rough cast on ours.

I'm not a property investor, but I reckon places like this (50s, 60s and 70s) will become massively more popular in the next few years. Just so much better proportioned than modern stuff. Check out backtofront designs for what you can do to them.

Built 67, well done.

Can I ask what you mean by backtofront.

It's a design firm specialising in this age house...

http://www.backtofrontexteriordesign.com
I was not suggesting it's not lovely as it is!

I just think when more people cotton on to what great proportions houses of this age have (look at your drive and front yard let alone interior dimensions compared to a new estate) updating places like this will be the new thing.

All in my non developer opinion.
