Just said to myself that it looks american...boston maybe, then seen your handle and then remembered you're the guy who lives in Hoboken (or did?). NJ apparently gets a bad rap, but when I was there I thought it was bloody lovely!softtop said:
It is currently a three bed semi and extended which is wonderful and I do keep having the thoughts about ."Why move?"
Here is the new one, going for a change of life and another money pit as I have spent all I can on the Tuscan.
Very nice! Good luck if you go for it, I'm currently lodging with a friend having had two fall through after our sale so im not talking about 'potential number 3' until I have a key! Here is the new one, going for a change of life and another money pit as I have spent all I can on the Tuscan.

If there's one thing I need to take from this thread, it's that I need to earn more money.

Every time I see this thread I try to resist clicking on it and every time it opens it reminds me of what an incredibly unsuccessful person I am.
If I wasn't already depressed with suicidal tendencies, it could have quite a negative effect on me.

I am now in the Livingston area which is about 20 miles away from NYC. My house is in the middle of a nature reserve and we share the area with herds of deer and bears (fortunately, not in herds). NJ gets a bad reputation because most people only see the area around Newark airport and the drive to NYC. The real NJ is away from there and justifies the State nick name of "The Garden State".Have a friend in Texas and a relative to be in Texas also and they have rather different views of living and, more importantly, working in the US. I think their time there will only be temporary!

That just sounds all kinds of amazing. I contemplate a move to the states a few times a year because I just love america. But then I think, I love vacationing in america, will I actually like living there?!

I moved 10 years ago and have not regretted it for a moment. That is not to say I would not move back, or indeed anywhere else in the world. I have a curiosity about Tokyo. It is made a little more difficult now I have a wife and 2 kids though. I had not considered moving to the US until the opportunity dropped into my lap. As a new hire in Altrincham I joked with a senior manager who was visiting from the US "Give me a job". 9 months later he sent me an email "call me". The weather can be a bit extreme here. The Summers are so hot that I miss the mild UK Summer days. And then there is Winter. My mail box has scratches on the top of it from when I was digging down through the snow trying to find my drive way last winter.Have a friend in Texas and a relative to be in Texas also and they have rather different views of living and, more importantly, working in the US. Hey H0B0 - I spent many good times in Morristown and Randolph just down the road from you.
My company used to have an office in Morristown but they moved it to Parsippany where I am based now. It is my wife who needs to get into the cite every day.Griff Boy said:
My current project, which I'm hoping to have ready to move into by Christmas. (Just not sure which christmas!)
Converted from an original property built in 1845 to a local primary school over a 100 years ago, then converted back to a big house (9600 sq ft) by moi over the last 9 months!
That looks like my ideal house, got any more pics? Converted from an original property built in 1845 to a local primary school over a 100 years ago, then converted back to a big house (9600 sq ft) by moi over the last 9 months!

I spent a year living down across the rail tracks in Pavonia Newport. Loved nights out in Hoboken because we could walk home and never a dull night had. Great place!LordHaveMurci said:
