Very nicely appointed shed.

Let's keep it to discussion of homes, not politics.

There has been a lot of nice houses in this thread. I don't know why, but i love old english houses a lot. They are so exciting.

Me and my wife just purchased our first house. It is traditional finnish house, made from thick wood. It doesn't have any other insulation, just 8 inch (or so) of wood but it is enough for our cold winter. Outside minus 30 celsius and inside is +22c smile

Property is 1,6 hectare and it is next to the lake. I'm happy biggrin

Sorry about my bad english at the moment frown

Congratulations on your new house.
Your English is much better than most of our Finnish.

Yes, that is one of the reasons. Every finnish house has a ladders to the roof.

And thanks to everybody for your kind words smile It maybe is small but it is ours smile I will try to take photos from the view in close future.

And what a house getCarter! Have you enjoyed staying in your magnificient house? smile

Mandy is that the one just outside West Calder? It looks like the one we looked at but we went for this one in Boness in the end.

No immediate neighbours here either but lots and lots of outbuildings

It sure is! It was actually the first one we looked at...followed by about another 25! We felt it was too expensive for what it was and eventually went back with a low offer and ultimately met in the middle. Suits us perfectly and Mrs Mandy managed to get a space for her horse at the yard in Seafield. We can see him from the back garden!

Yours looks lovely! Outbuildings would be nice but a garage will do for now! :-)
